Guilty Pleasure,  2024, Wooden drawers, bronze, colour on bronze, 47 x 35 x 15 cm,

During my childhood in Vietnam, lizards were the creatures I feared the most. Unexpectedly, I found joy in surprising people with a toy lizard I had come across. This playful act brought a new kind of enjoyment into my life. As I began making, painting, and giving away lizard works and seeing people’s variety of reactions, I discovered a unique pleasure in this activity.

Although creating and constantly observing lizards can be both terrifying and repulsive, I learned to enjoy the process for the happiness it brought. Through this artwork, I confront my fear and transform it into a source of amusement and connection with others.

Hold my hands and enjoy my fear.
